Our take
I found these vintage cast iron dumbbells from the 1930s, and they're a great piece of gym history. Each is 5 lbs with classic octagonal ends, exactly what you'd expect from old-school weights. The cast iron is solid and has a nice patina, though there's some rust. Being made in the USA adds to their authenticity. At $39.99 for a pair, it's reasonable for vintage items. However, they are not adjustable and are fixed at 5 lbs each, so limited for progressive training. Also, the vintage condition means they're not perfectly smooth. But if you're a collector or want retro gym decor, these are awesome.
